2017 Club 420 Class Warm Up Clinic

For the 5th year, the Biscayne Bay Yacht Club will host the annual Warm-Up Clinic for club 420’s to gear up for the Orange Bowl Regatta. The clinic will be three days; December 20 - 22. Come train for the Orange Bowl Regatta, take a holiday break and then sail the Orange Bowl all on Biscayne Bay.

This year the clinic coaches are Brown Head Coach John Mollicone, Eckerd College Head Coach Kevin Reali and Udi Gal, Olympic 470 sailor and coach. The sailing venue is BBYC, on Biscayne Bay. It is a world-class venue that offers some of the best sailing conditions available. With high quality coaching and welcoming hospitality the clinic is sure to be an excellent addition to the calendar. The clinic will be in Club 420s and is bring your own boat.

Sailors should be ages 14-18. The clinic will be multi-level and coaches will match participation. A larger turnout will lead to more coaches being named and a cap on total participants to keep the ratio safe and effective. So, register early to ensure a spot. Clinic Program

The clinics three day schedule will start promptly the morning of the first day. Sailor’s time will be shared between on water drills, lectures and evening guest speakers. Sailing and drills will be focused boat-handling, boat-speed and strategy. Evening guest speakers, during the provided dinners, will be focused on college sailing topics so it is a great time to learn about college sailing.


Entry Fee: $800 per boat.
